The studio towards the local community.
The studio wants, expressively, to be a contributing part of the local society. Therefore a number of activities are planned and is the policy of the studio so that there will always be a preference to work with local people, preferably from previous disadvantaged groups.
Workshops to discover talents among local people to work with glass.
Training of a few days will be given, free of charge, to local people with creative abilities that are interested to work with glass. Those that feel comfortable with the material glass and do have a certain creative skill will be invited to make work in the studio. The studio will provide materials, equipment and guidance, free of charge.
Art Classes for children.
Twice a week art classes are organized for children. In the studio children are educated / entertained with classes in drawing, painting, sculpting etc.
Purpose is to enable children to express themselves and give them a broader outlook on their world. These classes are free of charge.
Cooperation with local crafts people.
Where possible we will try to develop products of glass combined with techniques mastered by local crafts people, e.g. beadwork.
