Workshops
Studio Emmanuel organizes also workshops in glass fusing and kiln forming. Frank van den Ham, a well-known artist in the field of glass, conducts the workshops. ( www.frankvandenham..nl)
The workshops are meant for beginners as well as for more advanced people. A maximum of 4 students per workshop will ensure enough time and attention for each individual student. The main focus of the workshops is to send the students home with plenty of knowledge so that they can work on in their own studio.
The aim is to provide professional training and theory is, certainly in fusing, a substantial part of it. Some objects will be made, hopefully nice objects, the focus is on giving you what you need to work with glass in a professional way.
Standard workshops will take 4 days, from 9.00 am till 5.00 pm. Shorter or longer workshops, focussing on certain aspects, can be arranged. The location is our studio in Magaliesburg, about an hour drive from Johannesburg.
For accommodation there are several possibilities, either on the premises of the studio (simple rooms with attached bathroom) or in one of the BB’s or self-catering cottages in the immediate surrounding.
